Kaci Allen, Catch23 Performance, Receives 2018 Nashville Award

Nashville Award Program Honors Achievement in Sport and Entertainment

NASHVILLE May 6, 2019 -- Kaci Allen, owner of Catch23 Performance was recently presented with the 2018 Nashville Award in the Sport Psychology & Performance Counseling category by the Nashville Award Program for her work with Entertainers, Athletes and Public Figures.  Kaci is a leading Performance Psychology Coach in Tennessee working with Professional Entertainers, Athletes and Public Figures around the world.  As a Sport and Performance Psychology Professor at Belmont University, and an LPC-MHSP, Kaci’s individualized approach with each client, develops consistently top performers, helping them surpass challenges unique to their environments.  In doing so, she also works with families of those in high performing roles to help navigate taxing schedules and any other issues that may arise. Previously located on Music Row, the offices of Catch23 Performance moved to a more private Green Hills location in 2017, though Kaci frequently meets with clients in their homes, remotely and on the road whether on tour or traveling for games/meetings.

BIO: Kaci Allen is a 2001 Belmont University alumni, where she graduated with a Music Business and Marketing undergraduate degree, played softball, was a member of Phi Mu Fraternity for Women, served on the Belmont Young Alumni Council, and continues to support Belmont Athletics personally and through membership in the Bruin Club.  She received her Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health at Lipscomb University, and developed the University’s first ever program focused on providing specialized Performance Psychology and Counseling support for athletes and teams in the Lipscomb Bison Athletic Department.  In addition to her full time private practice, Kaci is an adjunct Professor of Psychology and Performance Counseling at Belmont, and speaks nationally to various Sport and Entertainment organizations as well as working with NCAA Division I & II teams across several conferences.

Kaci commented, “Strict confidentiality is a key element to each client’s success.  Whether a client wants to achieve major goals, take their performance to the next level, or needs additional support navigating professional and personal relationships, we work on all of it.  We incorporate visualization, mindfulness, breathwork, performance rituals/routines and strategies to cope effectively with anything that might cause stress, potentially interfering with them achieving their personal best. There’s no one-size-fits all, and I make the time to get to know each individual and their family to work on their strategic life-plan.”

Admittedly, the valuable confidentiality piece can limit marketing of these types of services.  Fortunately, after years in the Sport and Entertainment Industries, the majority of Kaci’s client population are direct referrals from current or previous clients, and we were happy to receive nominations on her behalf.  Kaci is already being considered for a 2019 nomination.

In addition to her work with Professional Athletes, Entertainers and Public figures, Kaci is an active volunteer in her community, spearheading events, coaching little league, and serving on various athletic boards.  She has truly created a unique approach unlike any of its kind and we are proud to honor this Nashville Business Owner.
